DA ARTIST INTERVIEW - Part II

Hello, and welcome to this week’s DA ARTIST INTERVIEW. Each week, I'm going to try to interview a willing DA Artist that I believe deserves some recognition, whether it be for their art talents, their personality, or both.

Qualifications for interviewees are as follows:

1. Have been on DA for 2 or more years.
2. Have a large and loving/supportive fanbase

Before we start off, I’d like you to know that if at any point during this interview you feel I’m getting too personal with a question, or you wish to remain silent about a subject, just leave it blank. If you want to talk to me in private about a certain matter, just tell me in your response, and we’ll pick it up after the interview and you and I will be the only ones who will know about what was said. That being said, let’s move on to question 1 and get some of the personal stuff out of the way.


1: Begin by telling us your Username, and your name in real life. (If you don’t want to reveal your name, you can simply state a nickname you go by)

I’m Aiko-frikki in DA, and my real name is Javiera Roa Fonseca, nice to meet you o.o *waves*


2. How old are you?

I’m 19 years old .w.


3. Where do you live?

I live in Santiago, Chile


4. What are your parent’s names? Do you have any Siblings?

Parent’s names… that’s personal info D:
And siblings, yup I’ve 2 (brother and sister younger than me)


5. Are you happy with your life?

I guess, but I know it could be better~


6. If there was anything you could change about your life, what would it be?

Hmm. The truth, I don’t want to change something :3
Things I’m living right now are consequence of things that have happened.


7. What’s a day in the life of Aiko-Frikki like?

Right know…
6:00 am  woke up, take a shower and get breakfast
7:00 am  taking the subway to go to college
8-9:00 am till 15:30pm  in classes (I’m studying odontology)
17:00 pm till 1-2:00 am  studying, doing homework, etc…
1-2:00 am aiko falls asleep~


8. Do your parents support you in what your doing, DA or otherwise?

Studying odontology for sure I’ve support…
art related things, I’m not really sure…


9. Do you have any pets?

yeah, a lovely rottweiler, her name is Eien <3
*whispers* I badly want to have a ferret too T- T


10. What do you do for fun?

I like to... play prank in other ones >w>
Talk about random stuff, watch anime…
usually just do something that breaks out the routine~


Okay, now that the personal stuff is out of the way, let’s get down to the art aspects.


11. What got you into art/drawing?

Hmm, since I was a child I liked to draw. But I started to do it more seriously in 2004, when I started to write GASP! (my manga project). Since that day I started to practice and practice on drawing and coloring. I want to make a good manga C:


12. Did your parents or grandparents ever put your pictures on their refrigerators when you were a kid?

Not in refrigerators, but they use to frame some of them and put my works on the walls… till today xD


13. What is your favorite thing to draw?

No favorite .o.


14. Least favorite?

Humans >__>


15: What do you find is the easiest thing to draw?

Easiest, hmm… trees? @__@


16: Hardest?

Humans T__T


17. Do you think you’ll be doing this in say, 10-20 years?

I hope so.


18. What’s your favorite piece you’ve drawn so far?

Favorite, so hard to choose one..

How I think… guess I would need to remake all of them = x = too many mistakes.


20. What do you think you’ll be remembered for, art-wise?

Colored pencil junkie 8D


21. Some of your pictures seem sad or somber, while others seem happy and peaceful. Is there any determining factors that, well, determine the feeling of your pictures? Like how you’re feeling, things around you, etc. ?

Absolutely my mood is the most determining factor on what I’m going to draw, the colors I’m going to use, composition, etc.

So yeah, so far, I'm only working 3 days a week. And I'll start college in a month or 2, so yeah....

I've only been there for about a week, but I like it so far. It's really slow compared to Wally-World (Wal-Mart) Which is nice. I'm only getting 5-something an hour opposed to the $7.64 I got at Wal-Mart, but I don't mind. Plus there are two fine girls there...

But, anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know what's been going on lately.
